Wow! Melbourne Music Week really put on a great show here.. not that they don't put on a bunch of great shows over the week, it's just this one really stood out. A great lineup in what turned out to be an amazing venue. With the exception of Wintercoats all the sets were recorded from the balcony with my microphones hanging off the edge. This not only minimises crowd noise but I feel it adds to the 'churchy' sound of the recording.


Wintercoats
Amazing. The Cathedral setting just suited him like you wouldn't believe. Despite being one of the shorter sets (song wise) I've seen him do this is probably up there as one of my favourites. Everything about it just worked so well.

The Orbweavers
Despite hearing nothing but good things about these guys they just didn't really do it for me. This is also missing the first 10 minutes or so as we'd left to go get dinner after Wintercoats.

This set was just flawless. Can't fault it in anyway. HTRK came out, did what they needed to do, then left.
