Dick Diver @ The East Brunswick Club (2009-12-04)

Been looking forward to this for some time now. Dick Diver are clearly a band I'm very interested in and I'd wanted to get my hands on the EP for a few months. I did and it came in the form of a 7"+CD package. It's really good and you should all get it. Also, where is On The Bank!? Why would they leave this song off the EP?
Given that Dick Diver are new and also the fact it was an EP launch I thought to myself 'how will they have enough material to fill a headliners spot?': unfortunately, I don't think they did. They played a smaller set than I had imagined they would and omitted some songs which should have been played (Miichael Jackson, Future Self, Interstate Forever and Princes come to mind). I'm not trying to take anything away from them the set they played was great. The new song (to me) Time Life Life was really good and I can't wait to hear some more new ones. The Creedence Clearwater cover was pretty cool although I spent the whole song trying to work out what they were playing.
The band were super happy to be playing the show and I don't blame them. They managed to pull a really good crowd and I imagine they gained a lot of new fans because of it. I wish nothing but the best for them from here on in.
